October :: My Dreaded CompanyIn the darkest hour of the night, My pounding feet splash through watery mirrors. Soaked by the cloud’s tears, I flee the hurricane, Which is tinted with shades of fear and loneliness. Entering my wretched home, I enclose myself in my room. No one is there, No form of light will work only darkness surrounds. My breath came out as whites wisps in the chilling cold, When suddenly a haunting laugh resounds throughout the cage. “Who’s there?” I ask terrified, unable to move. “Are you that scared of me, love?” Like a sly and cunning fox, he emerges from the shadows DespaOctober :: My Dreaded Company

::Ode to a Firefly::Oh, lambent in the misty forest, Guide me; lead me through the depths of the abyss! You with your glorious velvet skin! Into a cage I shall not lock you, Into a lamp I shall not force you. You smell of crisp, fresh air, You look like a flashing bi jou in the forest, Or a twinkling star in the obscurity sky. You sound of a trickling tear, oh lambent, Or the gurgling of an effervescent brook. You bring me emotions of bravery and courage, Of safety and hope. Even though your skin is as black as eventide, You flash yellow like the moon, Or blue like the luminous s::Ode to a Firefly::

::Lost puppy::A dark, lost puppy, Aimlessly wanders the streets and the lots. Counting the stars while she gazes at the sky. Like a wolf pup she whines to the moon And on the feet of a kitten, She plods through the woods. She stares towards the sun, As it awakens the world. She cranes her neck and squints her eyes, To catch the last glimpse of a fading gold mist...::Lost puppy::

March :: Forest WhispersI squirm through the underbrush The breeze slips its fingers through my hair. I dash to an opening And stop dead in my tracks. A doe lingers in the circle Nibling the tips of grass blades. She flicks her ears slightly As the doves coo from the trees. I stare in wonder at the animal As the wind toys with my clothes. Peace, she looks me in the eye. Her soft brown ones Meeting my hard green ones. She wasn't scared of me Even when I moved in closer. Peace then lay in the grass. And I lay down next to her. I gazed into her knowing brown eyes  March :: Forest Whispers
